Currently we are looking for individuals that are interested in participating in our upcoming tax season internship program. This is a great opportunity for candidates to gain experience in public accounting in the area of tax preparation. We provide complete training and mentorship for all interns. For successful interns there is also a potential for in-house career opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Tax Season Intern include, but are not limited to, preparation of federal and state tax returns for individual and entity taxpayers, assisting with bookkeeping tasks, and various accounting and research projects on an ad hoc basis. A qualified candidate should, in addition to having computer and accounting acumen, be detail-oriented, self-driven and comfortable asking questions when they need guidance. Comfort with computers, research resources, and the ability to learn new software platforms are a must.Talents/skills/qualifications/experience
- Ability to manage time independently
- Self-directed
- Strong attention to detail
- Tax or accounting experience preferred
- Students in the fields of accounting or law with a GPA above 3.0
- Career oriented professionals with business experience and an interest in learning tax
Schedule/compensation
- Start Date: February 1, 2024. End Date: April 16, 2024
- Paid position, pay rate starts at $22.00 – $25.00/hour, dependent on skills and experience.
